Your Dashboard and Folders

Check out this short video that explains the Renter Dashboard and its folders.

Once you click on "Mail" at the top of your platform, the series of folders along the left side of your display will now be divided into three groups:

The first folder group (Inbox, Pending, Action Required) contains all mail that is currently physically on-site with your mailbox provider.

On the Renter Dashboard, you'll see a series of folders on the left side of your display. They are organized into three groups:

Inbox

  • This folder contains all new mail and mail that has been viewed but with no action requested. The count indicator shows the total number of mail items in the folder, including those that have already been viewed.

Pending

  • In this folder, you'll find all mail where an action has been requested but not yet fulfilled by the mail center operator. The count indicator shows the number of mail items in the folder that are still pending action.

Action Required:

  • This folder contains all mail items that require an action to be taken by the renter. You may see warning messages such as "Mail item is about to incur storage fees" (shown 5 days before the end of the number of free days), "Mail item is incurring storage fees" (if the mail item is beyond the number of free days), or "Follow-up action is required" (shown after an Open & Scan has been completed to remind the renter that another action must be selected or storage fees will apply).

  • You can access the Action Required folder directly from your Renter Dashboard to view and manage any mail items that require your attention.

Second Folder Group (Completed, various subfolders) This group includes mail items where an action request has been completed and the mail is no longer physically present at the mailbox provider, except for Completed Open and Scan Requests. This group has several subfolders for different types of completed actions.

Completed

  • This folder contains mail items with completed action requests, which include sub-folders such as Open & Scanned, Forwarded, Checks Deposited, Picked Up, Recycled, and Shredded.

Opened & Scanned

  • This folder contains all Open & Scanned items, regardless of whether a follow-up action has been requested or not. This means that some of these items could still be onsite, while others might be physically gone from the location. Note that this folder does not appear if the mailbox does not have the ability to request the specific action.

Forwarded, Picked Up, Recycled, Shredded

  • Each of these folders shows all mail for that particular category. Note that these folders do not appear if the mailbox does not have the ability to request that particular action.

Keep in mind that mail items that are in their final status (meaning they are no longer physically present) will remain in the completed folder and one of its subfolders. The renter can choose to delete the item, which will remove it from the subfolder and place it into the trash.

The third folder group is the Trash folder, which contains mail images that you no longer want.

Mail items will remain in the folder for 30 days before being permanently deleted. You can move items between the Trash and Completed folders as needed.

Action Alerts

You will receive an alert when a mail item requires a final action from you. The alert will either state "Mail Item is about to incur storage fees" or "Mail Item is incurring storage fees." You can learn how to avoid storage fees by clicking on "storage fees" within the alert or by following the instructions provided.
