Why Do I Need To Verify My Identity?

All mailbox locations are mandated by the United States Postal Service to have a USPS 1583 form for each mailbox holder.

This crucial document grants authorization to your mailbox location to receive and manage your mail items.

This form must be legally notarized, requiring 2 valid forms of identification. You can use our online notarization service through an Anytime Mailbox-approved notary or complete in-person verification with the CMRA (Commercial Mail Receiving Agency) owner, manager, or an authorized employee.

You will need to present your IDs to verify your identity during the notarization or signing process.

Once this step has been completed, you are able to enjoy the benefits of your virtual mailbox!

For more information on the IDs accepted, you can refer to this article HERE

Note: This is only a requirement if your mailbox is located within the USA. If you have signed up for a mailbox at an international location, you can refer to this article HERE for that country's requirements.
