Open and Scan Mail- Mobile App Walkthrough




Need to have a physical mail item scanned and viewed digitally? Follow these simple steps within the app to request a scan from the operator:

Step 1. Log In to the App

Begin by logging into the app using your credentials. Once you're in, you'll see your main dashboard.

Step 2. Access Your Inbox

From the main dashboard, tap on the Inbox section. This will open a list of all your received mail items.

Step 3. Select the Mail Item

Scroll through your inbox and tap on the specific mail item that you'd like to have scanned. This will open a detailed view of that item.

Step 4. Initiate the Scan Request

In the top right corner of the screen, tap the Thunder icon. This icon represents the available actions you can take for the selected mail item.

Step 5. Choose “Open and Scan”

A list of actions will slide up from the bottom of your screen. From this list, select "Open and Scan". This tells the operator that you’d like the envelope opened and its contents scanned.

Step 6. Add Additional Instructions (Optional)

A new page will appear where you have the option to provide additional information or special instructions to the operator. For example, you can request the scan to focus on specific pages, highlight certain sections, or let them know if the mail is urgent.

Simply tap in the text field and type your message.

Step 7. Submit Your Request

You have two options to submit the request:

  • Tap “Done” on your keyboard (usually found at the bottom right of your phone screen).

  • Or, tap the ✔️ Checkmark icon located at the top-right corner of the screen.

Either option will confirm your request and send it to the operator for processing.

You’ve successfully requested a scan of your mail item. You’ll be notified once the scan is complete and available for viewing in your app.
