If you need to update the primary individual or business name on your verified account, please review the guidelines below to determine the best path forward.
Adding an Authorized Recipient
If you want to keep your current account name but receive mail for an additional person or business name, you do not need to change your account information. Instead, simply add them as an Authorized Recipient.
This allows you to receive mail for multiple names under one account.
Each new recipient must complete their own USPS Form 1583 and provide the necessary identification.
Completely Changing the Primary Name Or Business Name
Due to strict USPS Form 1583 compliance standards, we generally cannot change a verified name on an existing account. If you will no longer be receiving mail under the original or business name, the following steps are required:
Close the Current Account: You must cancel your existing subscription.
Open a New Account: Sign up for a new account using the updated individual or business name.
Re-Verification: Because the name has changed, you must complete a new verification process, including a new notarized USPS Form 1583.
Note: These measures ensure your mail remains secure and your account stays in good standing with postal regulations.
Important Note: If your mailbox is located outside the United States (International Locations), the process may vary depending on local mail center requirements.
You can contact your mail center directly. To find their contact information, please click this link.
Alternatively, you can Contact Us, and we will coordinate with the local mail center to determine if additional documentation is needed.
Changes will be processed based on the specific recommendations and local laws of that mail center location.
For unverified accounts you can directly change your name and business name from your portal. For step by step instructions click this link: How to Update Your Account or Business Name (Unverified Accounts)
