Please be advised of an important update regarding identity verification for South Korean customers. Due to automated vendor limitations and USPS Form 1583 requirements, physical South Korean government-issued IDs can no longer be accepted.
Key Verification Restrictions
- Restricted Identification Documents: All physical South Korean government-issued IDs, including South Korean Passports (even newer passport formats without printed RRNs), National ID Cards, and Driver's Licenses.
- Impact on Online Notarization: Any attempt to perform automated ID verification or online notarization (via OneNotary or Proof) using a South Korean government ID will be rejected automatically by the vendor.
- USPS Form 1583 Standard Rule: Non-US citizens submitting identity documentation for a US USPS Form 1583 must provide a valid passport, as USPS rules state that foreign state/national IDs or foreign driver's licenses are not accepted as valid photo IDs.
