What to Do If You Receive Mail That Isn't Yours

Receiving mail that is not intended for you can happen occasionally. To ensure the mail is returned to the correct recipient, follow the steps below to mark the item as "Not Mine."

Steps to Mark Mail as "Not Mine"

Step 1: Log in to Your Account

  • Use a desktop or the mobile app to log in to your virtual mailbox account.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Inbox

  • Once logged in, go to your Inbox where all your mail items are listed.

Step 3: Select the Mail Item

  • Locate the mail item that is not intended for you and select it.

Step 4: Mark as "Not Mine"

  • Click on the Action button.

  • From the drop-down menu, select Not Mine.

Step 5: Operator will be notified

  • Once marked as "Not Mine," the system will notify your mail center operator.

  • The mail will be returned to the operator’s pending assignments to be reassigned to the correct mailbox owner.

Important Notes

  • Double-Check: Always carefully check the mail item before marking it as "Not Mine" to avoid errors.

  • Timely Action: Mark the item as soon as possible to ensure it is promptly reassigned to the correct recipient.
