When signing up for Anytime Mailbox, verifying your identity is a crucial step to ensure the security of your mailbox. If you prefer not to use an online notary, you can complete the process in person at your selected mail center. In-person verification provides hands-on assistance by your mail center operator.
This guide walks you through the steps for completing in-person verification.
Steps to Complete In-Person Verification
Step 1: Fill Out and Print USPS Form 1583
Fill out USPS Form 1583 by entering all the required information accurately.
Once completed, download and print the form to bring with you to the mail center.

Ensure the IDs are valid (not expired) and match the information on your application and form.
Step 3: Contact the Mail Center Before Visiting
Login to your mailbox account using a desktop or laptop computer, scroll down on your Dashboard to find the mail center's contact information (address, phone number, and email), and ensure to check the unit or suite number listed in the address.
Step 4: Submit Documents to the Operator
At the mail center, present your completed USPS Form 1583 and IDs to the operator.
The operator will verify your information and assist with uploading your documents to the system.
Step 5: Application Approval
After submitting your documents, the operator will review and approve your application. Once approved, you’ll receive an email confirmation, and your mailbox will be fully activated, allowing you to receive physical mail and access all digital mailbox features.
